Leaf : flat needles; arranged along each side of the small branches ; dark green on top ; whitish underside; linear; rounded or notched at the top.
Bark : smooth; light grey; adorned with small sacks of sticky or dry resin.
Fruit : cylindrical cone that is longer then it is wide; resinous; dark crimson.
Uses : Christmas trees; construction ; pulpwood; shingles ; doors and wooden frames ; essential oils.
