Family: Odonates
Size: Some tropical dragonfly species reach 17 cm wingspan and 10 cm long; the blood sympetrum can measure up to 4 cm long with a wingspan of 5 to 6 cm.
Longevity: It can live from 7 to 56 days.
Habitat: It lives near water points of all types (live or stagnant, pond, stream, etc.) with vegetation, according to the preferences of the species. Dragonflies are found all over the world except at the poles.
Food: Once adults, they feed on flies, mosquitoes, grasshoppers, butterflies, flying ants, and even other dragonflies that they catch in flight.
